NetFix Support

Last updated:

Watches your network from the menu bar and finds the cause when something breaks.

For help, email support@weftware.com. Include your Mac model, macOS version, NetFix version, and which screen showed what. If you attach a diagnostic report, keep the default setting (sensitive values hidden). Never send passwords or payment details.

What NetFix does

  • Shows live upload and download speed and internet status in the menu bar.
  • When the internet drops, it checks link, IP and DHCP, routes, gateway, internet, DNS and HTTPS in order, and shows the likely cause with evidence and recommended actions.
  • Records outages automatically; the Dashboard shows incident history and a network map.
  • The Mac App Store edition never changes your network settings. When a fix is needed, it shows the steps to take in System Settings.

Requirements

macOS 15.0 or later. Runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

FAQ

NetFix is only in the menu bar and I can’t see a window.

NetFix is a menu bar app. Click its menu bar icon for details, or choose “Open Dashboard” from the popover or the right-click menu for the full window. Opening NetFix again from Finder or Launchpad also opens the Dashboard.

The Wi-Fi name (SSID) shows “Permission Required”.

macOS requires Location permission to see the Wi-Fi name. Press “Request Location Permission” in Wi-Fi details or Settings, or allow NetFix in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services. NetFix never reads or stores location coordinates.

Public IP shows “Off”.

Showing your public IP requires asking an external IP lookup service, so it is off by default. Turn it on with “Turn On” in the popover or in Settings › Privacy.

The internet works but NetFix reports an outage.

Some networks block ping (ICMP). NetFix doesn’t report an outage while HTTPS succeeds, but on networks that also block Apple’s servers (some company or school networks) it can. You can change the check targets in Settings › Diagnostics.

Does NetFix fix my network?

The Mac App Store edition diagnoses the cause and shows you how to fix it. It does not restart interfaces, renew DHCP or flush DNS.

What is NetFix Pro?

A one-time purchase (not a subscription) that unlocks longer incident history, the full incident timeline, trend analysis, per-network baselines, 1-hour and 24-hour graphs, detailed VPN/tunnel analysis, saving reports to files and a custom check interval. Monitoring, diagnosis, alerts and the basic Dashboard are free.

I bought NetFix Pro but it’s locked on another Mac or after reinstalling.

Signed in with the same Apple Account, open Dashboard › NetFix Pro and press “Restore Purchases”.

I’d like a refund.

Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. Pro features turn off after a refund.

I want to delete my history.

Press Settings › “Delete All History”. History exists only on your Mac, so there is nothing to request from the developer.
